The new Surface Go 3, which is now available for pre-order, offers your choice of a Pentium Gold 6500Y processor (at the starting price) or a 10th Generation Intel Core i3-10100Y (at $629). But there’s one key difference between the Surface Go 3 and its Go 2 predecessor: the CPU. The cost makes them especially attractive to bargain hunters put off by the $1,000-plus prices of Microsoft’s flagship Surface Pro 8. Not a whole lot has changed in this newest revision, which is a good thing, since the Surface Go 2 is already a solid work-from-home (and idle-time) choice among Windows tablets.īoth tablets look the same, and they share the same $400 starting price. Microsoft’s entry-level Surface Go tablet improved by leaps and bounds from the first generation to the second one, and now it’s back for a third "go at the Go," in the form of the Surface Go 3.
